March is Women’s History Month!
In honor of the International Year of the Woman Farmer, the National Grange is celebrating women who have shaped agriculture, strengthened rural communities, and expanded access to food, land, and opportunity.
From scientific breakthroughs to grassroots organizing, women have long been leaders in farming, food systems, and rural advocacy, often without the recognition they deserve. Throughout March, we’ll be highlighting women whose work transformed agriculture and continues to inspire today’s farmers, producers, and community leaders.
This series honors their legacy, as well as the women farmers and rural leaders carrying it forward.
